I am very much not in favor of yahoo when it comes to search engine, as its algorithm and the results i get from yahoo is not so much good as other search engines like google. Why is it so? Still yahoo holds a good market share in search, i wonder why?

Yahoo's search engine is horrendous. A lot of SEO and link farm sites are ranking for most keywords...

Seems Yahoo is becoming a victim of spammy websites within their algorithm.

That is true, Google always changes their algorithm to stop the ficticious sites from ranking well. Yahoo is too worried about their cheap, buggy, messenger service.
